John's expertise covers a wide range of Decorative Arts and Design, with a particularly strong interest in glass, Arts and Crafts silver and writing instruments. Having studied Archaeology and Anthropology at Durham and St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, he developed an interest in the research and cataloguing of his own collections, before embarking on a career in the auction world.
