Three Staffordshire figures, Richard Cobden, Sir Robert Peel, and Thomas Slingsby Duncombe, circa 1848, modelled standing beside columns, Sir Peel's bearing a sheet inscribed "Repeal of the Corn Law", Duncombe's inscribed "President of the Trades", polychrome enamel painted with gilded details, on titled plinth bases, tallest 23cm high (3) Note: these three figures are linked through their involvement in the campaign to reform the Corn Laws, in place from 1815 to 1846.
