Note: George Patten was born to William Patten, a RA exhibited miniature painter, training under his father before enrolling at the Royal Academy Schools. Noted for traveling to Germany in early 1840 to paint a portrait of Prince Albert, later exhibited at the Royal Academy. He was later appointed portrait painter to the Prince.
