A 19th century Boulle work cigar box, bombe casket form, the platform top inlaid with chased brass in the Chinoiserie Rococo style, a central image of Venus lifted in a sedan by putti, within fretted foliate scroll ground of festoons, bouquets and birds, the sides similarly decorated with anthopomorphic scrolls and masks, beaded and egg and dart borders, on fluted bun feet, the cedar lined interior sectioned, 30cm wide, 13cm high, 23cm deep
