A pair of Staffordshire greyhounds, 'M. Grath' and 'Pretender', circa 1871, modelled standing on grass-painted oval plinth bases with a leafed design, each with gilt collars, 23.5cm high, (2). Notes: Master Grath, owned by Lord Lurgan, won the Waterloo Cup of 1868, 1869, and 1871, defeating Pretender to claim his third title.
