Thomas Webb (attributed), an Arts and Crafts part iridescent Green Iris glass vase, circa 1890, optic ribbed spherical form with wide everted and crimped rim, the apple green body with marigold iridescent rim, polished pontil, 11cm diameter note: developed by Thomas Wilkes Webb, a range of iridescent decors were produced to cater for the growing demand for historically influenced yet contemporary design. Frederick Carder at neighbouring Stevens and Williams subsequently developed the iridescent Aurene range at the American factory Steuben, while Tiffany's Favrille range was widely sought after across the world.
